shaunna hall guitar San Francisco Bay Area Guitarist, Songwriter, Producer, and Sound Designer Shaunna Hall began her rock music career at Blue Bear School of Music where she studied songwriting with Bonnie Hayes in the early 80s. She joined her first band, The Crash Puppies, shortly thereafter.

Shaunna Hall is currently playing guitar for George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. She became an official band member in 2007 after 5 years of touring as a part-time player and crew member.

Shaunna released a solo project Electrofunkadelica, in 2006, which features members of P-Funk and was recorded mostly while on the road with P-Funk between 2002 and 2005.

4non blondes

Shaunna Hall was the founding guitarist of 4 Non Blondes (who's 1992 multi-million selling debut record "Bigger, Better, Faster, More!!" contained 5 Hall compositions). She has been touring with George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic since 2002.

Other notable bands include Alcohol of Fame, The Eric McFadden Experience, and Storm, Inc. who's critically aclaimed cd "The Calm Years" (2001) contains 8 Hall compositions.


Hall was a sound designer (sound and music) for "Tamale Loco", the first online video game developed by Shockwave . Released in 2001, the game is now included in the "Shockwave Favorites Vol. 1" game bundle or as a stand alone download. Check out the demo or buy it at Shockwave.com.


Alien Lovestock's 2000 CD "Planet of Fish" contains the compostion "Alien Love" co-written by Shaunna Hall, Eric McFadden and George Clinton, who also appears on the cd.


Hall co-produced local punk rock radical un-pc feminists Tribe 8's 1998 Alternative Tentacles release "Role Models for America", and The Flying Other Bros. "Demo", "IPO" and "Secondary" in 1999.


Summer 2001, Shaunna played with Dog Ass, a power trio with LAs' Becky Wreck on drums and Christy Michel on bass, formed specifically to play a Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit presented by the now defunt Loudithfaire. The trio played a few shows in SF and LA before Hall moved to Barcelona, Spain in 2002.


george clinton and shaunna hall May 2002, Shaunna shot a short film called "The Beauty of Betrayal" featuring the Hall composition "Beauty Sleeps", which was recorded in SF and LA. It features Experience members Sam Bass, Ben Barnes and Paula O'Rourke. Janis Tanaka plays the Saw on the dramatic instrumental. It was shot in SF and Barcelona by Brick Seriously and Hall. Shaunna also appears in the film, along with Los Angeles actress Natalie Richie.



In July 2002, Hall jumped on the P-Funk Allstar Circus wagon, and has not looked back since, completing several US, Canadian and European tours, and dates in Australia, Japan, Fiji, Russia, Singapre, Malaysia and Indonesia with George Clinton and Parliment Funkadelic since 2002.

Shaunna became the first official female guitarist of P-Funk in 2007. She was the monitor engineer from 2002-2003, and is given an engineers' credit on the "P-FUNK LIVE @ THE 2004 MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL" DVD!

Hall appeared at the 2003 Cannabis Cup with Gotcha & George Clinton, sitting in on "Red Hot Mama". Also appearing were Sativa and Kendra Foster.


Shaunna returned to the United States in 2005, and continues to tour the world with George Clinton and Parliment/ Funkadelic aka The P-Funk Allstars.


Shaunna Hall was a panelist for the 2000 and 2005 Rockrgrl Conference, has been a volunteer performer for Bread and Roses since 1997, and is a member of ASCAP.
